Election Results 2019

In this year’s Lok Sabha election 2019, around 90 crore people are eligible to vote this time. The number is an increase of about 9 crore compared to last time. It is estimated that about 13 crore voters this time will be first-time voters. The actual number of people who do vote, however, is far less. Even though 2014 saw the highest turnout ever in independent India’s history at 66.4 per cent, it meant a huge 27.3 crore people did not vote.
Holding elections in India, world’s seventh largest nation by area and second most populous country is a complex process. The model code of conduct has already been put in place for this year’s election where nearly 2,000 parties and over 8,000 candidates will be contesting elections for 543 seats. The model code of conduct is a set of guidelines that candidates, and political parties and governments must follow to keep elections fair.
Two-thirds of Indians are under 35. With 43 crore Indians owning a smartphone, half a billion using the Internet, 30 crore using Facebook, 20 crore sending messages on WhatsApp and 3 crore users on Twitter, political parties and candidates will aggressively use new technology and social media to win the hearts and minds of young voters.
Millions of poll workers, police and security personnel are deployed in cities, towns, villages and hamlets. They use planes, boats, trains, helicopters, elephants and camels and travel by foot to reach far flung voters, because every vote counts. Elections in India are nothing less than a “festival of democracy.”
Lok Sabha Election 2019 InformationThere are many political parties who might declare their Prime Minister candidates before due to the publicity. Like last year PM Modi was the face for BJP and he had managed to put a remarkable victory in his pocket. However, with this win, there were many other parties who weren’t even managed to grab a seat in double number. Aam Aadmi Party won in a total of 4 seats who was fighting for Arvind Kejriwal.
Congress was another party that was not able to grab attention. However, by the time Rahul Gandhi is the declared president of the party and Prime Minister candidate. It will be amazing to see whether it will make some difference for Congress or not. Well, only time can tell for whom voters are rooting for.

Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot to make Eurovision appearance

Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot to make Eurovision appearance

It's still unclear whether the Israeli actress, who plays the comic book superhero, will appear live on stage or via satellite but she will apparently perform pro bono; last year's winner Netta Barzilai also set to perform.

Israeli actress Gal Gadot is set to take part in next month’s Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv, according to a statement released Monday by the event’s organizers.

In May, shortly after Israel won the right to host the event - following Netta Barzilai’s winning performance during last year’s competition -Gadot received an official offer to host the prestigious event but opted to decline.

Although it remains unknown whether the actress who plays Wonder Woman will appear live or via satellite, Eurovision’s Editor-in-Chief and Lead Director, Yuval Cohen said at a press conference Gadot will not get paid for her appearance.

Earlier it was confirmed that pop diva, Madonna, will perform at the Grand Final on May 18, after months long negotiations between the singer’s representatives and the contest's organizers.

The Israeli-Canadian billionaire Sylvan Adams has apparently agreed to foot the bill for Madonna's performance.

In addition, last year’s winner Barzilai will also perform not only at Grand Final but during one of the semifinals as well, where she will sing a new rendition of her last year’s winning song “Toy.”

Israel’s previous Eurovision winner - Dana International - who won the competition back in 1998, is also set to belt out a tune at both the final and one of the semifinals.

PUBG Mobile Ban: After Nepal, Now Iraq is Considering Banning The Popular Battle Royale Game

PUBG Mobile Ban: After Nepal, Now Iraq is Considering Banning The Popular Battle Royale Game

According to a recent report on the internet, the Iraqi parliament has proposed banning online multiplayer video games like PUBG Mobile, amid fears they are corrupting young people and getting them hooked on violent fantasies.

After getting banned in Nepal the popular online game PUBG Mobile is about to get banned in Iraq. According to a recent report on the internet, the Iraqi parliament has proposed banning online multiplayer video games, amid fears they are corrupting young people and getting them hooked on violent fantasies. The cultural parliamentary committee submitted on Saturday a draft law that seeks to ban electronic games specially PUBG. “The committee is concerned about the obsession over these electronic games that ignite violence among children and youth. Its influence has spread rapidly among Iraq’s society,” the head of the committee, Sameaa Gullab, said during a press conference in Baghdad. Iraqi media reported incidents of suicide and divorce related to the games during the last year.

Recently, Nepal has officially banned PUBG to stop addiction and to prevent violence. Senior Superintendent of Police Dhiraj Pratap Singh received eight letters from schools and twenty-five letters from parents complaining about the violent and addictive nature of PUBG last month, and that was the final straw. In a recent story published by the Nepal-based news outfit The Kathmandu Post, the ban on PUBG began when the Nepal Metropolitan Crime Division officially filed a Public Interest Litigation requesting to ban PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds completely. Apparently, the request was approved and shortly after, the Nepal Telecommunications Authority issued a cease-and-desist to the country’s internet service providers and telecommunications companies.

GOA IT minister Rohan Khaunte had said earlier that there was a need to pass a law to put a stop PUBG. The minister stated that PUBG had become a “demon” in every house while students have been neglecting their studies because they are busy playing PUBG Mobile online
